A Husband & Wife Team Aiming to Partner With You in Your Health Journey
At Henstock Chiropractic, we believe that optimal health doesn’t need to be the exception, but instead can be the norm. Through a safe, professional, and relationship-based environment, our husband and wife team aim to partner with you in your health journey.
We believe that pain and dysfunction are symptoms that act as alarms within the body. In the same way your dashboard lights up when something is wrong, pain tells us there is a problem that requires attention. It can’t always tell us what the problem is, where it’s coming from, or even how to fix it. Therefore, we don’t target pain, but pain relief is a great side effect to restoring normal function in the body. We are most concerned with restoring your function to get you back to feeling your best.
We see each patient as their own person, worthy of time and an individualized care plan. Your health is one of your most important assets, and it is never too late to start Chiropractic care. Whether you’re looking for improved athletic performance, injury prevention, pediatric and pregnancy care, or just better overall function, give us a call or book an appointment. We can’t wait to take care of you.
Mission Statement
To provide high quality chiropractic care, including the education necessary for
equipping our community with the tools to achieve optimal health.
Meet the Team
Dr. Reinhardt Henstock
Hi I’m Dr. Reinhardt Henstock! I was born and raised in South Africa and later moved to Canada where I received my undergraduate degree in Medical Biochemistry, from University of British Columbia, before moving to Hayward, California, where I completed my Doctorate of Chiropractic degree at Life Chiropractic College West.
Growing up with a Medical Doctor and a Physiotherapist for parents, I was drawn to the HealthCare profession very early on. I was always involved in any and every sport I could get my hands on. As you could imagine, that led to many hours spent being stitched up and undergoing rehabilitation for my injuries. As a result of all that first hand experience I was naturally drawn to Sports Medicine, which is a combination of my love for athletics and health care. Having spent a large amount of time rehabilitating injuries and learning about the biomechanics of the human body, I gained an appreciation for corrective and preventative health care, which ultimately led me to my newly found passion for Chiropractic.
While completing my Doctorate of Chiropractic at Life Chiropractic College West, I realized that there is more involved within the human body than just biomechanics when it comes to corrective and preventative care. This includes the body’s ability to process and adapt to the external forces that are placed upon it throughout our everyday life. If the body is unable to adequately process and adapt then it leads to a state of compensation, injury, or “dis-ease” within the body. Therefore, a body that cannot adapt well, cannot function well; a body that does not function well, does not heal well!
Some things about me that you may not know:
- I graduated Summa Cum Laude at Life Chiropractic College West.
- I competed as an athlete at the professional level.
- My first language is Afrikaans.

FAQs
Chiropractic is a natural hands-on approach used to restore normal biomechanics and optimize nervous system function within the body. Chiropractors are highly trained in detecting nerve interference, and administering safe and gentle thrusts with their hands or an instrument, to restore nerve function. This restoration of normal biomechanics and nervous system function is called an adjustment.
Yes, we perform manual adjustments, known as osseous adjustments, where you hear the pops and cracks. We also use other tools and low force techniques such as Activator, SOT blocks and Drop Table.
We are out of network with insurance and are not providing superbills at this time. We accept HSA, FSA, credit cards, cash, or check.
Yes, over the last 2 years Dr. Henstock has spent over 140 hours in over a dozen seminars learning about Pediatric and Pregnancy Chiropractic care through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA). There is a simultaneous simplicity and complexity to the effect that biomechanics has on neurological development. As babies grow through their infant and toddler stages they reach developmental milestones that build on each other and are crucial for the neurological and musculoskeletal systems, such as cross crawling for infants. When there is interference within the nervous system it can delay the progression through these milestones and also neurological development. Chiropractic removes the nervous system interference through extremely gentle adjustments (less pressure than to test the ripeness of an avocado), which restores communication between the brain and the body. This allows for better proprioception, adaptation, and neurological and musculoskeletal development.
Yes! A lot of changes happen within the body during pregnancy that can cause pelvic misalignment and altered biomechanics, which can lead to symptoms such as sciatic and round ligament pain. Chiropractic adjustments align the pelvis to improve its neuro biomechanical function during pregnancy and help the body adapt to the constant changes that are happening within it. This applies to post-partum as well, as the body heals and returns to normal.
